AFW Hires Former Mayor

America’s Future Workforce announced today that Bill Euille, the former Mayor of Alexandria, VA, has joined America’s Future Workforce to implement and manage the organization’s development initiatives. Bill Euille has the depth and breadth of experience in the public and private sectors and brings his innate ability to develop relationships with government officials, donors, and stakeholders.
Bill has dedicated more than 40 years of service as a leader, entrepreneur, community activist, philanthropist, and board member of more than two dozen local and national nonprofit organizations, and most recently served on the governing board of WMATA, Washington Council of Governments, and INOVA Alexandria Hospital Foundation.
Bill has received many major awards and honors for his time in the community. These awards range from the 1994 Entrepreneur of the Year from the Virginia NAACP, the 1995 Community Service Award from the Hopkins House Association to the 1996 Blue Chip Award from the US Chamber of Commerce, the 1996 Entrepreneur of the Year from the Washington Post and Ernst & Young, LLP, the 1996 Small Business Person of the Year from the US Small Business Administration, and the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce Business Leader of the Year (2001).
In his new role, he will be able to continue his career by working for an organization that allows him to give back and help make a difference in the lives of many – every day. He will be a strong advocate that education and workforce development for youth and young adults are the vehicles which will open many doors of opportunity for youth in our area.
