For Immediate Release – Friday, March 24th, 2017 – Today, America’s Future Workforce became the newest member of the America Forward Coalition. This is a national network of 70 nonprofit organizations championing innovative, effective, and efficient solutions to our country’s most pressing social problems.

America’s Future Workforce joins the 69 other members of the America Forward Coalition at an important point during the fiscal year – before the 2017 United States federal budget debate – when fractions of American political parties foment and when the stentorian din of the majority party could drown out the minority party highlighting the progress of community-based organizations and when many organizations creating measurable impact in our towns, cities and states face deep budget cuts. “This is the time for perspicacious leaders, of mission driven organizations, to advocate for the correct allocation of federal resources,” said the America’s Future Workforce CEO, Nate Mauer. “This is,” he continued, “why our nonprofit is joining forces with other social enterprises. I look forward to the meaningful conversations with representatives from coalition organizations and to advancing issue-based advocacy campaigns. Hopefully, our collective call for action will be heard and will be the impetus to measurable change on a local, state and federal level.”

Members of the America Forward Coalition are achieving outcomes in more than 14,500 communities nationwide, touching the lives of 8 million Americans each year, and driving progress in education, workforce development, early learning, poverty alleviation, public heath, Pay for Success, social innovation, national service, and criminal justice reform. Together its member organizations have leveraged $1.5 billion for social innovation and have driven millions of federal resources toward programs that are achieving measurable results for those who need them most. America Forward believes that our nation’s social entrepreneurs can lead the way to unlocking America’s potential and help move all of America forward.
